Interactive Video Installation
Lily is a conceptual, performance and video artist. This interactive video installation revolves around the making of this website. One screen features said website, allowing viewers to scroll through and learn more about Lily’s art. On another, a video reveals the process of making it. The video captures in real-time the minutiae and tedium of constructing one’s own artist page. This work makes visible some of the unseen labor it takes to represent and “legitimize” oneself as an artist, highlighting the precariousness of these acts.
